Companionship services offer conversation and engage clients in their favorite activities. Companions are trained to ensure safety and provide redirection for clients who may experience memory loss. They are equipped with techniques to create a calm yet stimulating environment, helping clients live their best lives.

In-Home Caregiving - Journey Nursing Services

SHIFT TYPES:

Caregiving Shifts vary from 4 to 12 hours when certified aides provide personal hygiene care (Bath Aide), meals, medication assistance, or other kinds of personal help.

1:1 Caregiving Services: Caregivers ensure that clients are safe and their basic care needs are being met. They assist client in activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, toileting and transferring. They encourage clients to participate in their own care as much as possible promoting client autonomy within their own homes.

Long-Term In-Home Care: Many clients depend on caregivers due to an ongoing condition or injury. Journey Nursing Services can assist in making sure that clients have   all the care they need at their current level of care, as well as assist in planning if those care needs can no longer be met in Home Care.

Short-Term In-Home Care: During major life events and transitions, it can be helpful to engage the services of a care provider for support. Life events might be recovery from a recent surgery or injury, or even after the birth of a baby when mom needs to get some sleep.

Second Family Member Caregiving: We offer a reduced rate to provide care for a second family member in the same home. This can be a cost-effective solution to keeping an aging couple together at home, rather than having them reside in more expensive facility.

Live-in Care: Live-in caregivers provide clients with assistance with Activities of Daily Livings, safe supervision, and companionship. Having a live-in can be a cost-effective option for long term care if there is space in the home. Live-in caregivers are required to have 8 hours off a day, 5 of them uninterrupted. This option works best for clients who sleep at night.

Respite Care: provides short-term care to allow caregivers and family members to take a much-needed break. Provided for all age groups, abilities, and behaviors, we are increasing our services for special needs children, as well as pre- and post-natal support care to assist with the transition of having a newborn at home. Newly delivered moms are often discharged immediately after giving birth at a hospital, and some come home to face the needs of other children as well as important needs of their own.
