Education Services through Journey University
Journey Nursing Services offers educational courses that can enhance client’s and family members’ knowledge for a wide variety of conditions. We also offer caregiving courses for family members who are interested in becoming certified as a Home Care Aide for their loved one.
Continuing Education hours can be completed through our many DSHS-approved Courses. These classes can be taken by anyone with interest, and include
- Nutrition and Safe Food Handling
- Leadership in Healthcare
- Safety (3 hours) from DSHS
- Basic Life Support: CPR for healthcare professionals
- Financial Health
- Specialty: Hospice and End-of-Life Care
- Specialty: Comprehensive Training for Homecare Nurses on Tracheostomy Care and Ventilator Management
- Disease Prevention and Infection Control
- Dementia (8 hours seminar course)
- Mental Health (8 hours seminar course)
- Diabetes (8 hours seminar course)
- Nurse Delegation Principles and Practice (General and Diabetes)
